The Bridging program is designed for skaters who are ready to transition from the fundamentals of skating to more advanced skating skills. Bridging connects the foundational skills of CanSkate to the specialized skills of StarSkate or PowerSkate, providing a seamless pathway for skaters to develop their talent and passion for skating.

Program Highlights:

  1. Seamless Progression: Bridging is the natural next step for skaters who are in Stage 4 of the CanSkate program. It provides a structured pathway for skaters to advance to the StarSkate or PowerSkate program with confidence.

  2. Skill Refinement: In the Bridging program, skaters build on the foundational skills learned in the beginning stages of CanSkate while focusing on more advanced techniques.

  3. Certified Coaches: Our experienced and certified coaches are dedicated to helping skaters make a smooth transition to the next level. They provide individualized instruction and mentorship to guide each skater's progress.

  4. Performance Opportunities: Bridging skaters have the opportunity to participate in club showcases and exhibitions to showcase their developing skills!

Who, What, When, Where and How

Our Bridging program runs during our fall school in September and continues into the Winter Season from October to March ending with our annual Ice Show. Session are 1 hour & 45 mins, twice a week. 1 hour on STARSkate sessions, 45 minutes on CanSkate Sessions.

Proper equipment is essential to success! Please ensure that your skater is dressed properly for skating. Avoid clothing that has anything dangling that could get caught on other skaters, stuck under skates or fall off. All skaters must wear a CSA approved helmet until they complete Stage 5. Having properly fitting skates are the most important piece of equipment, they should be snug but not too tight and blades should be sharpened once a month or 2 months if they aren't used often.
